Rugmark is an independent third party who verifies that the rugs are made by skilled workers, and do not break labor laws designed to protect children. Our rugs are intricate and well crafted, beyond the scope of what a child can make.

All authentic handmade rugs have fringe - the fringe is the backbone of the rug, what the weavers weave ‘on’. If you do not like the look of fringe we suggest using double sided tape to stick the fringe behind the rug. WE DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE SUGGEST CUTTING OR TRIMMING THE FRINGE! This can lead to injury to the rug, voids the warranty on the rug, and lowers the resale value of the piece.

Anytime a rug has backing over the knots, it is an indication that the rug is not a true handmade rug. We only carry the finest quality rugs from each of the countries that we import from. Each countries' rugs are judged by different standards. The best way to judge the quality of the rug is by the quality, and not quantity of the knots, and how you feel about the design. The rug will be in your home for a long time, and with proper care, will last generations. How you feel about the rug is the most important factor when choosing your next family heirloom.

In order to guarantee the lowest prices on Handmade Oriental Rugs in the USA, we do not accept returns. We do allow exchanges, within 30 days, with sales receipt. We are dedicated to helping you find the perfect rug for your room, and will continue to help you dig through our vast inventory until you find the piece that is perfect for your home! Internet sales are returnable for a 25% restocking fee, or exchangeable for a 15% fee. This is not our fee, but a fee accessed by the companies who manufacture the rugs. Custom made pieces are not returnable.
